213542 2004-02-08 00:59:00 I know this probably sounds dumb, but.....When you download windows updates, where does the download go to. The reason I ask is that it would be handy if it were possible to save them to a CD to install whenever a reformat or whatever is done. Is this possible? veterannz (960)
213543 2004-02-08 01:52:00 Sure is possible and not dumb at all. When you download the updates automatically you aren't able to save them to install again later but if you manually download them you can. Have a look at this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) for some instructions. ;-) Fire-and-Ice (3910)
213544 2004-02-10 07:52:00 Well, yes u can save them. They go to a folder called WUTEMP, which is usually on C:/WUMTEMP.

BUT you have to get /copy them to somewhere else, before the install finishes. From the Windowsupdate site.
