| 213850 | 2004-02-09 01:00:00 | Just thought since some of you mite rather have a choice of phone plans instead of telecoms monopoly....telstra clear is now doing promotions in todays herald and maybe other papers...for a petition on www.call4change.co.nz i know i mite nt be allowed to actually promote this but i am not, i just thought maybe i shuld tell you about it :-) |

Imagine being Telecom, and having a competing company demanding to use your facilities and only paying what the competing customer wants to pay. Doesn't seem fair to me. A bit like a garage having a special hoist that a competing garage doesn't have. and being forced to let the other garage to use it at no cost. Over simplification ?? HH |

The various companies have finally worked out an agreement for dial-up internet and not having to dial toll providers access code. It is the next progression to hire/share physical lines, even just for the purposes of Internet. Be under no illusion, they did not pay top dollar for Telecom when they brought it either. |
