213856 2004-02-09 06:17:00 The rights and wrongs aside, of our Gumint selling off Telecom in the first place.
Imagine being Telecom, and having a competing company demanding to use your facilities and only paying what the competing customer wants to pay.
Doesn't seem fair to me.
A bit like a garage having a special hoist that a competing garage doesn't have. and being forced to let the other garage to use it at no cost.
Over simplification ??

213857 2004-02-09 06:44:00 I don't think it is quite that simple. The various companies have finally worked out an agreement for dial-up internet and not having to dial toll providers access code. It is the next progression to hire/share physical lines, even just for the purposes of Internet.
Be under no illusion, they did not pay top dollar for Telecom when they brought it either.

213858 2004-02-09 09:48:00 Hmmm, excellent marketting trap they set up there, I mean, take one look at the description under "NO", and see just how fairly balanced they've made the argument.

Pfft... nice telcos... as if.
