It took me a few hours to get F/fox running sweet, but it was worth it.
Persevere you won't be sorry.
And there's plenty of,gladly given, help here if needed.
Cheers.

214047 2004-02-13 04:20:00 A few hours? Thats crazy.....

Mine worked (as an upgrade) from Firebird 0.7 without a hassle!
And on Clean installs on Doze and Linux PC's.. Not a single problem :-)

Chill.

214049 2004-02-13 12:54:00 I think I 've got it sorted anyway.
In tools, options, connection settings from Manual Proxy setting to Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, and it made all the difference to the way pages loaded. Prior to doing that I couldn't get into my details, on Fencepost, using my login and password. Plus one or two other sites wouldn't load.
It just remains to be seen how it works when I fire up my network, I'm sure it'll be fine.
But I like what I see!

I got firebird, so far I like it very much, especially the ad-block, what else should I add to the list??

214051 2004-02-15 01:47:00 Also how do I make it so that when I hold down the shift key and click on a link it will open in a new tab, rather than a new window.

Thx alot

214052 2004-02-15 01:54:00 Try right clicking on it and open as a new tab. This works in Mozilla from which firefox evolved.

Hold down the Ctrl key rather than Shift. ;-)

Getting the Tabbrowser extension is well worth while. Amongst the heaps of handy tweaks you are able to have the tabs down the bottom rather than at the top if you prefer them there like I do. Go to Tools > Options > Extensions > Get new extensions and find the Tabbrowser one. Check out the others as well while you are there. ;-)
