213760 2004-02-10 23:46:00 What's the use of a computer without a floppy?..........
Floppys are so out of date and a waste of space on a new pc, get a usb key :-) , more data, much faster, etc, etc.
And I have a wireless keyboard. I game, work, etc on it. Haven't gone through a battery yet and its been 14 months.
Wireless mice though, agree, I'd stick to wired, esp if optical! But what is a AA every 3 months, really... $2? $8 bucks a year? Don't think that hurts.

I tend to build my desktops myself (very picky on components) and have a dell 500M laptop. More than happy with my dell.
If someone doesn't have the knowledge to build a pc or is a bit more of a novice, personally, IMHO I recommend a Dell over a small computer shop. Shops can dissapear, give variable levels of support.... and really dells are the same price... it is kind of the Mcdonalds theory, can be surer of what you are going to get. A small computer shop, definitely a zillion time better than all your 'rip off' electronic shops though!!!
