2004-02-08 06:31:00 I HAVE RECENTLY REINSTALLED ADOBE ACROBAT 5 BACK ONTO MY COMPUTER. IT HAS NOT GIVEN ME THE OPTION TO INSTALL THE MACROS ONTO MY PROGRAMS SUCH AS WINDOWS, EXCEL ETC. THESE MACROS GIVE YOU THE ABILITY TO TRANSFORM A SPECIFIC DOCUMENT INTO A PDF. AS THESE ARE NO LONGER DISPLAYED I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CONVERT A DOCUMENT INTO A PDF FILE. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, OR USE ANOTHER METHOD USING ADOBE? I AM USING MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 ZACK (5241)
2004-02-08 06:42:00 You mean MS Office wont save docs as PDF? Try-www.openoffice.org

2004-02-08 07:21:00 YES THAT IS A GOOD IDEA AND I WILL TRY THAT THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BUT I WOULD STILL LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GET THE MACROS THAT ARE IN THE ADOBE SOFTWARE PACKAGE SOMEWARE TO APPEAR ON MY WORD PROGRAMM AS IT DID BEFORE ZACK (5241)
2004-02-08 07:29:00 TRY READING THE DOCUMENTATION THAT CAME WITH THE SOFTWARE. mark.p (383)
2004-02-08 07:36:00 luckily i was smart enough to do that, but unfortunaly all it said was to convert simply press the convert to PDF button on the right hand corner of your document and hey presto. ........................ but its aint there no more ZACK (5241)
2004-02-08 07:50:00 Now is it the same version of MS Windows and MS Office you where using with it before? mark.p (383)
2004-02-08 07:58:00 no before i was using XP OFFICE 2000, now im using XP OFFICE PRO 2003, when i loaded it on with XP 2000 it gave me the option to add then to word the first time i opened word up, but it has not done this with PRO 2003, i don't necessarily need to have them i would just love to be able to convert word document to PDF. surely they would have another way of doing this wouldn't you think, as some people wouldn't want the macros in word, excel etc ZACK (5241)
2004-02-08 08:11:00 That may be the problem-the ol upgrade cycle revolvith. I bet Acrobat 6 - www.adobe.com /-supports the later version of MS Office. In saying that there may be an options function Acrobat to add the toolbar macro in its menu somewhere. mark.p (383)
2004-02-08 08:16:00 YES I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE SAME, BUT A FRIEND OF MINE ALSO UPDATED TO OFFICE PRO 2003 AT THE SAME TIME AS MYSELF, HE HAS ACROBAT 5 ASWELL AND HE AUTOMATICALLY HAD THE MACROS, ITS A TRICKY ONE ILL GUESS ILL HAVE TO SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH ZACK (5241)
2004-02-08 08:18:00 Did he update "over the top" of the exsisting MS Office with Acrobat already installed? mark.p (383)
