| 214152 | 2004-02-10 04:34:00 | I've run out of ideas. I thought maybe a repair of Outlook but I see that you have reinstalled (x3) so rules that idea out. I also thought maybe there was some sort of rule that sent the emails to a different folder but if you reinstalled then that would not have reoccured if it was the case the first time. hmmmmm...... It does point to nortons. I take that you have done a Live update of Nortons to make sure all virus def are up to date. Have a look at this (service1.symantec.com) to see if there is anything that you may have missed. good luck sam m |

| 214153 | 2004-02-10 05:05:00 | In his last post he seems to be saying that Outlook is downloading the mail but he can't see it in his inbox. If this is the case then it needs to be made clearer. |

| 214154 | 2004-02-10 06:42:00 | Thanx for the assist guys. I did mention I had uninstalled both Norton programs. Reinstalled again today even though ihug does a pretty good job of virus scanning. For carification: When I press send/receive in Outlook, it says (immediatly without pause), "requested tasks were completed successfully" The worm stays empty, & the list empty on the little screen. I don't know where it went, but due to the immediacy of the response, doubt it went anywhere. Have the latest Norton updates (Daily), virus deffs (Daily) and I have allowed XP to auto update as well, although my outlook says it is version 9.0.0.3821 Then it says Internet Mail only. It is pretty bad when you reinstall it like new, and it doesn't improve or even change. Don't you just love Microsofts support on their software! |
