| 214395 | 2004-02-10 20:23:00 | when I boot up the DIAL UP CONNECTER box is slap bang in the middle of my desktop. I dont want it - how do I stop it doing this? | Thomas01 (317) | ||
| 214396 | 2004-02-10 21:11:00 | It is usually a program calling for it that will bring the box up. To eliminate express and explorer:- (note the settings before changing them) Open Outlook Express, go tools-options-general, now make sure that "send and receive at startup" is unticked. OK your way out and close OE. Open Internet Explorer, and go tools-internet options-connection, and click on "never dial a connection". Now restart your PC and see if the dialup box comes up. If not, then it was OE or IE that was causing the problem. If it doesn't fix it, then look for another program that is looking for an update off the Internet. Such as Anti-virus program, some ZoneAlarm versions. |
