2004-02-10 06:32:00 | Not an expensive one but a run of the mill thing, but one unlike my old Lexmark, that has reasonable priced cartridges!! It would be cheaper for me to buy a new printer with two cartridges than maybe buy a black cartridge (over $100) for mine. Needless to say, at those prices, I don't use it a lot these days. I've been looking at the HP deskjet 3650, any more ideas please? Thanks.

2004-02-10 06:44:00 | everyone on this site will have there own ideas but..... if you only want black and white then i would look at a laser printer like the brother hl1440 (about $400) they are very cheep to run and quite fast, very good quality. for an inkjet i would look at the cannon range.

2004-02-10 08:22:00 | I would also recommend the Cannon because when you run out of ink you don't have to get the print head like the HP just the ink tank and they hold more ink than HP's. | mikebartnz (21) | |

2004-02-14 02:00:00 | Just make sure you get a price for replacement ink before you purchase,a salesman saying any model is "economic" and has well priced ink just doesn't cut it. | metla (154) | |

2004-02-14 21:56:00 | If ya want a good colour printer with seperate ink tanks then I suggest the Canon i560. Resolution is 4800 x 1200 dpi ( prints damn nice photos etc) 15 pages per minute in colour or 22 in black and white USB only Borderless printing We sell it for $315 inc Ink is priced between $25 to $30 per tank depending on where purchased. And you do run out of the different colour inks at different times also. This is something I have seen myself not just the sales pitch lol.
