Its installed right...
100MHz FSB

equals 450...

It has a heat-sink but no fan... and no visable way to atach one...

Help ... what do i do...

P.s... where is the thermometer... is it on the board... or on the chip itself....????

214816 2004-02-12 05:23:00 There's an engineer's standard thermometer you can use. If you can hold your finger on the heatsink for more than a second, the temperature is less than 70°C.

A heatsink with fan would be a cheap investment.. ;-)

214817 2004-02-12 05:44:00 what you have is a passive heatsink. either duct a case fan to it or glue a decent fan to it. (glue it only in a few places so you can break it off if the fan needs replaceing) tweak'e (174)
214818 2004-02-12 06:18:00 i have a pentium 3 500mhz and a huge heatsink but no fan. It doesnt get hot because there is a case fan behinde it. dwnz2003 (5250)

214820 2004-02-12 06:33:00 Ummm . . . Well the machine can now burn CD's at 40 times with no "Buffer under run errors" . . .

My have made a mistake . . . was in the bios for bout five minutes with it sat on the PC status . . . and the temp just keep climbing . . .

Then in sandra . . . the temp is bout 34 - 36 . . .

so i think my temp is right . . . but still playing with . . .

So if i find out any new news . . . i will get back to you . . .

Thanks guys . . . .
