Bear in mind that PowerDVD does cost most people... Unless its bundled with their DVD-Rom drive.

Then we could say "What if I dont have a DVD Drive?", or "My DVD drive didnt come with software".

Well then, hiring a DVD (Spiderman among others) comes with a DVD Player on the DVD

But if you dont have a DVD Drive, you're back to square one and so might as well use WinAmp or Windows Media Player to play the VCD in the first place.

Im pretty sure there's an option under one of the Menu's in WMP to play a VCD even...

Have a look, if not, do as mentioned and manually find the .dat file :-)

Cheers

Are you sure? I have a feeling that the "player" usually bundled on DVDs (I'm thinking InterActual player here) is just a front-end. It still requires DVD player software such as PowerDVD or WinDVD to actually display the movie.

214702 2004-02-14 02:51:00 Im sure it comes with everything.

My mate brought a DVD-Rom second hand, without software.

Al he did was hire Spiderman (That's how I know it comes with it) and used InterActual player from that....

Why bundle it otherwise?

Maybe it does then :)

Because you (eg the DVD creator) can create content that requires the InterActual player to be able to play that content... I'm talking about interactive content etc. The Fast & the Furious DVD has content like that. That's why you'd bundle it.
