214428 2004-02-11 02:31:00 i really dont care how many patches there are

think of it my way (note: applies to all situations ;))

its easier to patch, rather than to recover from a hack attack

214431 2004-02-11 03:06:00 would this "patch" be downloaded via the windowsupdate coz i came on just before and it said it has some thing 2 install....
one is a critical update of a font coz it has some "unacceptable" fonts...
and one is a update coz of some hacker...

214432 2004-02-11 03:19:00 Well personaly I'm blimmin (is that ok BB?) sick of applying patches then waiting to find what vital settings are up the creek or which program is no longer functional. I'm getting very close to the point of having another crack at Linux on my business PC so, expect some more jibberish from me folks as I delve into new mysteries and require assistance...... hey what the *... are you still there? I was just about to say... hellooo... now where did they all go ?:|

Metla, you've got me really worried now. If they've been recording the prevailing thoughts of a certain person not too far removed from here and passing that info on to Nike as the target markets predominant thought of the day, then my mind boggles as to what is going to turn up on the next release of sports shoes and T shirts. I wont say it out loud though because Bruce has already locked down one thread today but it doesn't start with a letter A.

214434 2004-02-11 03:27:00 Being a paranoid type myself Chris, I don't use window,s auto update feature (it's a feature, yeah right. who's feature?) which doesn't like anything other than IE the saintliest browser of them all. So, I head over to the download site instead and grab a copy of the file and install manually. That way I have a backup copy for when the whole crufty shebang turns to custard and needs to be reloaded.

Just thought I would brighten up your day. Weathers rats outside BTW.

And T shirts, oh goody, oh joy ]:)

I can feel a bruised and battered ear coming up if this all eventuates. Hmm.. most likely the left one unless I get to ride shotgun.
