214780 2004-02-12 03:10:00 I am running windows 95 on an old HP system and my machine is freezing when i try to use mid range to intensive graphics can anyone tell me how to check to see if my video card settings are right, even better, would it even be the video card?

TIA

214781 2004-02-12 03:17:00 chances are if its freezing when displaying graphics then it is a problem with the graphics card.

You can reinstall the graphics card drivers from the latest ones from the internet. To find your graphics card drivers goto 'control panel', 'system' and look under the video card '+'...

If you got the latest drivers and the same thing keeps hapening then it will most probably be the graphics card. If your trying to use intensive graphics i assume games/multimedia which will mean possible not supporting Direct X... therefore it won't work, BTW you could try installing some newer direct x drivers but i don't think '95 supports them any more
