| 214774 | 2004-02-12 03:13:00 | I get that problem from time to time, specifically when i mess with registry files (read: tweaking windows things)... the only way i got out of this was using the 'Go Back' program to go back an hour or two before i messed things up... But if you don't have that option you can use Safe Mode, i think you push F8 or del just before windows starts loading. This'll bring up a menu and if it is cos you've messed with something (i.e. registry, installing program) unistall it etc etc. If all else fails you can shove in your windows xp cd and reinstall/repair windows which should work but you will lose some settings. - David |

Under "Startup and Recovery" click the Settings button. Remove the tick from beside"Automatically restart" and the OK. When the computer next encounters the error, it will halt on a blue screen with hopefully some useful error message that can be used to track down the problem. |
