| 215281 | 2004-02-13 21:56:00 | Wow - email problems galore! I use Outlook express and keep getting asked for a password an domain name, neither of which I use, then I get this message: The host 'pop3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3 (1)', Server: 'pop3', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D. What have I done? I can't receive emails at all, but I can send them |

| 215282 | 2004-02-13 22:23:00 | Check Tools/Accounts If you only have one email address you should only have one account setup, I suspect you have more than one. Select the account and go to Properties and click on Servers Correct the incoming server address to that of your ISP eg pop3.xtra.co.nz I suspect you only have pop3 in that box at the moment. |

| 215285 | 2004-02-16 06:55:00 | Repair IE. you can usually do that from the add/remove in the control panel. Good luck. Check and double check your email settings, to make sure you have them exactly right, as in smtp.whatever.co.nz and pop3.whatever.co.nz or however xtras settings are. Other than that, check to make sure you haven't got a firewall blocking mail coming in. | supergran (108) | ||
