Gamophobia

An abject fear of marriage :O

But if to you, Valentines day means Oeillade perhaps,

a flirtatious glance, leading perchance to Suaviation

a lovers' kiss, and then maybe even Autarchia

perpetual happiness, for you February 14th could be a day to remember.

If, on the other hand, you suffer from Prosopolepsy the curse of judging people favourably solely from their looks, you could come down with a bad case of Anaxiphilia

The act of falling in love with a schtoonk by someone who should know better. :(

Cheers

Don't be put off though, even anaxiphiliacs
are entitles to a brief moment of happiness. :D

215226 2004-02-13 10:50:00 If schtoonk is a synonym for a folically-challenged buffoon them I have to admit that I suffered a bad case of Anaxiphilia myself recently, but am happy to announce I am now fully recovered .

:D :D :D

Personally I do not adhere to the concept of Valentines day. IMO if you need a special day, an excuse, to express yourself to your dearest then your on the wrong track entirely. Fun for kid's tho, I guess

215229 2004-02-16 00:39:00 It is a "commercial" opportunity Murray; no more, no less.

Appeals to the hopeless romantics though, and kids are into it big time. Our local College had to ban deliveries of flowers etc because the office was inundated.

Surely they could have just texted the object of their affection? :p

Cheers

Can say that about mothers day and fathers day as well can't we? ;-)

At the price it costs to supply and deliver red roses its obvious that todays kids have far too much money at their disposal .

Too cheap and not public enough . ;-)

215232 2004-02-16 03:51:00 Yes, they probably are Mark, at least having them switched on would be, but that wouldn't prevent texting for later retrieval etc. Where there's a will there's a way.

I can see the day coming that they are banned from schools completely though I can't see how such a ban could be effectively enforced. Some overseas schools have cellphone detectors in classrooms to keep thing honest at exam times, same technology/units as the detectors found in many overseas hospitals.

One thing is for sure, they will never go away.

Cheers
