| 215171 | 2004-02-13 05:47:00 | I've recently had trouble with this DSE Router Model: XH1151. (www.dse.co.nz) It keeps disconnecting everything from the LAN every 10-15mins. Its really weird, suddenly everything just dies and you can't access anything on the net and the routers configuration page doesn't come up either. So definitely something wrong with the router. The only way to get going again is to unplug the power from the router and boot it up again. Seeing this happens every 10mins it is a royal pain in the neck. I've even tried a new router of the same type, thinking the original might be faulty or something, but even the new router does that same thing! I'm taking them back for refund. So anyway, I need a new router that supports woosh. Preferably something that is very reliable and won't require resetting for along time. Basically to support woosh, the router needs to support PPPoE and have a WAN port on the back of it that a RJ45 plug can fit into. That connection is for the woosh modem to connect through. The connection will be shared between 4 other computers via ethernet so a 4port switch would be nice too. The router should also support NAT and have virtual server configuration possible. Any help much appreciated :) |
