215124 2004-02-13 03:55:00 Some of my friends say I should use Orcon (www.orcon.co.nz), others have suggested 02.net (http:). I've tried searching for user reviews for the two ISPs but found none. Can anyone who use them tell me whether they're good or not? Asker (5264)

Have a look here at a few comments on orcon:

You can get a 5GB or a 15 GB cap with orcon as well.

Also Quicksilver - http://www.quicksilver.co.nz is not bad, you get a 10GB cap

215126 2004-02-13 04:25:00 I can vouch for Orcon being a good ISP. Ihug (Who I use) are good too.

ICONZ do unlimited data transfer though..... ;-)

215127 2004-02-13 10:21:00 I started my Jetstart with Paradise, errattic performance expensive.
Then Orcon, terrible performance, very bad latency, but very good help service.

Now I am with Slingshot, only $16.70 a month, unlimited traffic.
Performance excellent and has Xcellorater which speeds up tranmission as an option at about $8 a month.

215128 2004-02-13 12:01:00 Mzee, isn't that for dial-up on Slingshot? My jetstart is $29.95 unlimited with Slingshot. Only problem I have had was Telecom software upgrade that turned to custard.
Help ain't flash with Slingshot, just the unlimited availability. Fourth month, and still keeping the average 20gigs/ month. No problems with speed either.

215129 2004-02-13 12:57:00 I have just received the bill for the next 3 month period, it is $53.85 = $17.95 per month. maybe they have made a mistake ;-) Mzee (158)
215130 2004-02-13 12:59:00 P.S. $29.95 is the Telecom charge isn't it? Mzee (158)
