| 214950 | 2004-02-12 22:43:00 | I have a winfast "a340 theater" graphics card. I am trying to update my drivers. I have tried the leadtek.com.tw site and found the drivers I need,BUT when I try to download them from the Taiwan site the download speed is under 1 kbs and download time is over six hours!!!! From their US site all I get is "site unavailable" I'm wondering if I can use the drivers from the Nvidia site. Their speed is reasonable. If I can, what driver do I download? Jack |

I always found the a manufacturer's drivers to be more outdated than the constantly updated nVidia ones. Do you have any links to demonstrate benchmark differences between the 2 drivers? Lo. |

Personally i have found it depends on the card and the drivers, some work better with some releases, some work worse . Oh,and i would suggest the nvidia drivers, the latest release are very nice, have more fetures then the leadtek drivers and are easie to configure, dual monitors and whatnot are far simpliler then what they were . |

| 214959 | 2004-02-13 02:17:00 | Jack, I've got Leadtek ti4400 and the original drivers I had drove me crazy (that danh WinFox startup sound). I installed Nvidia drivers when I was trying to get CFS3 running properly and they worked fine. I've used Nvidia releases ever since. Thats aid, I wasn't doing nay over-clocking or stuff like that and the Leadtek drivers on my card came complete with tools for doing this, so you may loose some vendor-specific functionality. |
