| 215118 | 2004-02-13 03:20:00 | Hi there, I need to find a good wireless DSL router. I'm aware that the Nokia MW1122 is a good'un...but this is obsolete now and I'm not sure of any other (good) brands. The person who it is for has shown up as in a 'marginal' area, although it ought to be fine, because I'm 10 doors down the street and the Nokia works fine for me. A guy at Telecom recommended the Alcatel 510 to me, not sure if that comes in wireless? Thanks, Brendan |

| 215119 | 2004-02-13 04:01:00 | I recently went shopping for one. Originally, the plan was to buy the Dynalink RTA300W but Ascent were out of stock so I ended up going for the D-Link DSL-604+ which was about $70 cheaper. So far it seems pretty good. Even though the noise level on my phone line is shocking, I have had minimal problems with it. |

Only issue I had before was UPNP was not working, but a firmware fix made that right (this is all a fair while ago). I'm a fair way from the phone exchange but by adsl never has dropped. There are Dlink and US robotics products which offer what you want with 802.11G - I'd probably look at these first now but the Dynalink is a solid product too just behind in the wireless standard. |
