| 1356080 | 2013-10-14 22:01:00 | It's best to match the type and speed if possible but as long as each pair matches they can be different sizes and still work OK and in dual channel mode as well so yes you can do this. However if it doesn't work the difference between 16 & 20g of RAM is not something most users could notice, in fact 8 is still plenty in most cases which is why I've stuck with it. Next build in a year or two will probably have 16 and I expect that to be enough for a long time. |
