2013-10-10 23:53:00 | Yello, am trying to use the File associations segment of Default Programs to set associations, when clicking on the link, Windows Explorer crashes. I have tried doing a sfc scannow and check disk but to no avail, any ideas? Cheers.

2013-10-11 00:00:00 | What did you install recently?? If windows explorer is crashing it may mean something on your system isnt compatible with the version of windows. And what entries are under the context menu?? One of these maybe faulty / corrupt. This can also cause windows explorer to crash. If something like ccleaner is installed, go to tools / startup / context menu. Disable everything here. Then see if file associations works | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2013-10-11 03:01:00 | Seemed to have fixed it by disabling " Microsoft Access Custom Icon Handler" with ShellExView, ta for the help. | Whenu (9358) | |
2013-10-11 22:56:00 | If Access is from Office 97 that maybe why. It may not be fully compatible with Win7. So, some people say. It looks like it may also break UAC in Win7 | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2013-10-11 23:48:00 | Actually some sites say Office 97 isnt compatible with Win7 at all. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2013-10-12 05:00:00 | Think it was Cashbook Complete that uses Access 97. It was fixed with msconfig actually.
