| 1334619 | 2013-03-30 02:18:00 | I stumbled onto this article: www.nzherald.co.nz I am socked by the kind of stuff these guys print. Motorsport: Raikkonen second as Sutil qualifies first Kimi Raikkonen is showing his season-opening victory in Australia is no fluke after posting the fastest time in the second practice at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Friday - and qualifying yesterday only behind surprise flier Adrian Sutil, the German driver heading the Indian Force challenge. Nico Rosberg qualified third and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso fourth, with defending world champion Sebastian Vettel back in 15th place. Raikkonen qualified 7th (got a penalty so started 10th) - Sutil qualified 9th started 8th. Sebastian Vettel qualified on pole. Rosberg 6th, Alonso 3rd. There have been no such questions about Raikkonen. The Finn was the surprise winner of the Australian GP last weekend and has won two of the last three Formula One races dating to last year. His Lotus was expected to be competitive with the better-funded Red Bulls and Ferraris but not outpace them as he has done so far. TWO out of the last FOUR races. Clearly the idiot who wrote this has never actually watch an F1 qualifying session in entirety, these results are accurate for the first (out of 3) part of Qualifying. So basically reporting the score at half time... YAY! I am amazed at how this kind of crap can be published, it really makes one wonder if anything these clowns publish is accurate. I feel bad for the people who actually pay for the Herald. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! |

| 1334620 | 2013-03-30 04:56:00 | What am I missing here? Raikkonen won the 2012 Abu Dhabi GP which was race 18 of 20 last year, and then won again at Australia, the first race this year. Where is the problem? The news article you refer to was written following qualifying but before the running of the Malaysian GP proper. |

| 1334623 | 2013-03-30 18:00:00 | What am I missing here? Pretty much everything. I would say you didn't bother reading my post, maybe you should try that. Raikkonen won the 2012 Abu Dhabi GP which was race 18 of 20 last year, and then won again at Australia, the first race this year. Where is the problem? Hmmm... Maybe my arithmetic is off. So shall we try to count together? Starting from Abu Dhabi (that's the first race, and first win), USGP (that's the second race), Brazilian GP (that's the third race) and Australia this year (this would be the fourth race and the second win). I count 4 (four) races and 2 (two) wins. How many do you count? The news article you refer to was written following qualifying but before the running of the Malaysian GP proper. The idiot who wrote this article, wrote it after Q1 - the first part of qualifying, 6 cars get knocked at this stage and the rest progress to the next session, Q2, where again 6 cars get knocked out and the final ten progress to Q3 for the shootout for the top 10 places on the grid. This format of qualifying has existed for the past 8 season. So what do you think the fellow's excuse could be? |
