| 1355817 | 2013-10-13 00:12:00 | I put the Audio CD in the Computer and the computer doesn't even acknowledge there being a disk there Seven Seas by Echo and the Bunnymen This is the second CD I have had this issue with, where it works fine in various stereos but doesn't work on the computer Anyhelp appreciated I don't have that particular album but going by the date of 2005 it *may* have some kind of copy protection. Not all audio CD copy protections try to load some program to interfere with ripping (en.wikipedia.org) but still have things that can interfere with the computer's ability to read the disc properly. If it has that logo on it, that may well be the problem. Aside from that, stuffed drive perhaps? Just because it's recent doesn't mean it's not faulty. Also note that some DVD drives don't seem to be all that well designed for reading anything that isn't a DVD - although an Asus should be fairly good. |
