And also probably because they want to try to get away from the having to deal with the Labour backed teachers unions. But I really don't think they are obsessed with them. Isn't it more an Act initiative ? |

| 1334201 | 2013-03-28 07:59:00 | I think this lady has been given a very difficult portfolio and she has done a good as job as anyone could. Most teachers are so left wing they could be classified as commies and difficult people to work with. Charted schools may or may not work out but NZ has done some innovative things in the past world leaders in fact. Women the vote No fault ACC Allowed alcohol stills Legalized prostitution Holocaust denial not a criminal offence Modifying vehicles and certifying no biggie No farm subsidies Got it wrong on some stuff |

"Oh," he mentioned at one point, "and there are no private schools in Finland." www.theatlantic.com This is an old article but our politicians just don't seem to learn (or don't want to learn) from overseas experience. And yet ACC was implemented here when it was thrown out in Germany (?) because it didn't work. |

| 1334205 | 2013-03-28 22:12:00 | Yes I note that ACC is so well admired through out the world that the number of countries that copied it can be counted on none of my fingers. I think the concept was good but what has happened is filthy scum serial bad backs have ripped off the system. People on long term ACC should be watched by private detectives to see they dont build retaining walls and go mountain biking etc when the ****s supposedly too hurt to return to work. I think the wage and costs you could pay a detective who could look at the activities of about 50 or so people who could selected by profiling bad backs and would have a massive return on investment. These people caught would lose their ACC for life and be jailed and still pay ACC levies for no return on their release from jail I think Digby just gotta go after the serial bad backs to make the sysem work. Plus define accident and get rid of people claiming illness and numbnutz things like pregnancy as an accident. |
