1356428	2013-10-18 09:54:00	I am trying to upgrade my Windows 8 pro laptop to 8.1 via the Win 8 app store. The upgrade downloads fine, and then it says 'getting update ready' and suddenly it stops and says the update can't be installed error code 0x80070002. I've never had any problems with the app store before... Please help!	Filthygamer (16897)
1356429	2013-10-18 10:06:00	Whats the brand / Model of Laptop. ? There were a few problems with Lenovo's and the Preview of 8.1 Could be the same or similar problem. Also what Antivirus did you have on Win 8. Hardly any would run on 8.1, causing crashes etc. If your AV is a third party AV then that can be the cause as well.	wainuitech (129)
1356430	2013-10-18 21:19:00	I had that - 3 times. Then I deleted a few recently installed apps (av, Start8& etc), rebooted and it went through smoothly. Time consuming but all well now.	coldot (6847)

1356432	2013-10-18 23:06:00	Ok so I've uninstalled Avast, Classic Shell and a couple of other programs using Revo Uninstaller which didn't work. So I looked around the internet, which told me to fix the registry, which I did with CCleaner. Still no success with the same annoying error! So frustrating! Any other ideas?	Filthygamer (16897)
1356433	2013-10-18 23:37:00	I wouldnt use reg cleaners. Some even ccleaner can remove valid entries. Are you using an MS account, when you go to update it? Go to run type wsreset.exe then see if it works	Speedy Gonzales (78)

When the upgrade installs it works like a repair install, you'll find theres a windows .old folder with over 3 GB on the C Drive.	wainuitech (129)
