1355920 2013-10-12 06:28:00 My friend's oldish mobile phone has just packed a sad and she's desperate to retrieve her Contact list. I can't get it to work even with another working SIM. I've placed her SIM in one of my phones and the info isn't there. Her phone doesn't have an SD card.

So... I've managed to look at the phone's contents via a USB cable and Windows Explorer. There is a folder which has sub-folders in alphabetical order, and in each of these are .CDT files. I strongly suspect that the information is stored in these. However I don't have a programme to open them with, although I can using Notepad, but that just shows a lot of gobbledy gook.

Is there some other way I can access this data off the phone?

It's a 2-3 year old Nokia flip-phone.

What is a CDT file?
Files that contain the .cdt file extension are created by Corel's CorelDRAW software application.
