1473794 2020-12-20 03:10:00 We are using SoftMaker Free Office as Microsoft Office is too expensive - besides it's free! It has the same functions as Office but I am unable to use one function.

I am using Textmaker and have made a word document and want to insert a picture. I want to wrap the text around the picture and there is a Wrapping Mode but it is greyed out and I am unable to use it.

Can someone please tell me how I am able to activate the Wrapping Mode as I can't see how.

Thanks very much for your help.:help:

1473795 2020-12-20 05:21:00 If you 1st insert the picture - Then Go to Layout. Select / Click on the Picture, Then the Wrapping Mode becomes active, select the option you want.

Thanks for that, Wainui. I was doing it around the wrong way. That's done the trick. Much appreciated.

That Particular one was created with Techsmith Capture (Jing) www.techsmith.com Its not to bad for basic Usages. The default keys to activate it when installed are Shift + F11

Another I have used for years, is Ashampoo Snap. They have giveaways all the time, you need to create a Free account but that's no biggie. giveaway.tickcoupon.com The only problems with Snap is ( the free versions at least ) is it installs the Service message that usually pops up when the computer starts, but just close it. It can do a LOT of tasks / options.

You can also get the same results with the Win 10 built in Screen Snip App if all you want is to highlight text or draw an arrow to indicate something.

The One used is the upgrade from What used to be "Jing" which ran from old tech ( now outdated) The Free version from Techsmith does Video as well as Stills, has a few more options / actions, and has an upload/ Sharing site included, where as Programs Like Snap, has lots of bells and whistles. Theres a few about, all have pluses or Minus :)

1473802 2020-12-21 22:45:00 I find it very difficult to draw a straight line or a reasonably OK circle with the mouse in the Win10 snipping tool. bk T (215)

That is what the ruler/protractor is for.
What you can do with Snip is very limited. Use one of the tools Wainui recommended above if you need to do more than basic marking up.
