I agree that you are better off with a standard Linux OS, but the schools are set up to use the Google education apps, and it works well. Homework should be banned anyway, the school is for learning, don't make kids work on schoolwork, overtime at home as well... Besides, if you give them Linux they might learn more about computers than on some locked-down OS. I learnt a lot from having my own computer, breaking it, fixing it, reinstalling Windows, etc. |

After a full day in the classroom, and possibly sports afterwards, plus chores at home the kids need need time to themselves. Study when you are tired is a waste of time, you won't remember it. |
