| 1477892 | 2021-06-16 22:19:00 | By the way Microsoft's default apps got even worse this time. Facebook Messenger was preinstalled with a start menu link :( | baabits (15242) | ||
| 1477893 | 2021-06-16 22:27:00 | Heres something to ponder over, just reading some comments on Reddit ---Hmmmm What if Windows 11 is a name being shot out strictly to overhype what is in reality Windows 10 21H2 to get the media talking about the OS as they've been? So what if in reality, the whole reason W11 even is happening is because Sun Valley is such a major redesign and retooling of W10 that the Windows marketing div saw an opportunity to put the OS back into mainstream media coverage? ) And what if, no-one cared and went Linux? LOL. Glad I'm out of it , haven't missed it once. |

| 1477894 | 2021-06-16 22:28:00 | Chances are W11 is just a regig of the GUI, rather than a complete rebuild of the OS. Releasing "11" , might spur some companies and home users into finally upgrading old systems . And give MS a boost in sales. sort of this discussion at the workplace (or home) . Win11 is here. It looks so pretty . OK, so how old are our Win7 PC's then, better look at replacing them . |

Theres quite a few posts from various places that say theres an error message "This PC Can't Run Windows 11" Also fixes for it. But think I'll wait for any official release (unless I get bored) LOL Certainly wont be using any thing like this "leaked" version for real work. |

I've tried linux many times over the years, it's definitely pretty decent these days. But as a PC gamer it still lacks support for too many of the games I play to get me to use it regularly, and hardware support tends to lag behind windows by a bit as well. I used it on my NUC media pc for about a year just fine, but then found a spare windows key I wasn't using and went back to windows. |

| 1477897 | 2021-06-17 06:38:00 | I run windows on my laptop that is my daily driver and have Linux Mint (currently) on my spare desktop, it has had other flavours of Linux on it and has had Win10 too in the past. It isn't in daily use just used for guests and testing | gary67 (56) | ||

| 1477900 | 2021-06-17 21:49:00 | Whereas Linux is happy on new or old Totally disagree there. I have several Older PC's here that Run Windows (any version) but will not in any way run Linux with anything newer than Mint 18. MS have now ( well for some time anyway been working on) Actually running Linux Apps directly from within Windows, not Via WINE. |
