1477439 2021-05-27 05:24:00 My mum hasn't been contacted yet. She's 89...which is your Dr Practice? piroska (17583)
1477440 2021-05-27 07:22:00 No Dr. involved. We ere just out walking after lunch and saw the sign out at the Taradale Club. So we're a bit cheeky and went in to see if we could get the vaccine. No problems they said. They are happy to take "walk ups". As long as it is after 1pm so they have a good idea how their days supplies is going with their booking numbers. They will do you both. :)

Try them, Wharerangi Rd at the hills end of the building. Look for the flag.

Ken :)

1477441 2021-05-27 08:21:00 I had my 2nd jab last week (I'm classified as a front line worker). Either or, if anyone has the opportunity, don't hesitate. Just as eventful as any jab. WalOne (4202)
1477442 2021-05-27 21:58:00 Spoke to a couple of people on my walk this morning who were turned away from the Vaccine place at the Taradale Club yesterday.

So, maybe not Helen?

1477443 2021-05-27 21:59:00 Nah, she doesn't walk well....wait till her doc says to go in. They got their flu ones last week.

I would have taken husband...but too late.
And I would have been getting him the pneumonia one, which I didn't know existed until recently.

1477444 2021-05-28 08:52:00 I had my first jab 27 April ( no effects) second is 2 weeks away.
I got an email which i was a bit suspicious of initially. I clicked on the link -asked for my password.-What password - I had not registered one ? I decided to phone next day but got a chase up e mail. This time when i clicked on the link I got a screen asking me to reset my password ( i had not set one).with the usual second tab to confirm same as first. The location options were fine so I selected best for me. I then went to book an appointment expecting to see a range of dates that I could choose from. No so i clicked go and was told "checking for dates". i was expecting a date well into future but back came one too early (not the adequate gap after flu vaccine). I then clicked on Change appointment and this time I was presented with date options. I am 73 but my wife is 5 years younger and had her first jab 4 days before me. Neither of us is a frontline person and both are in quite good health.
The actual procedure on site was about 1 hour duration and was efficient. Tonight on RNZ a big Resthome has not had any residents vaccinated yet
It seems rather random v the official rhetoric

1477446 2021-05-28 09:33:00 Nah, she doesn't walk well....wait till her doc says to go in. They got their flu ones last week. There is a stand down period after received the flu vaccine before you can have the COVID vaccine. Best to check that out.

I'm fully immunised now with having the second vaccine about 5 weeks ago (high risk work environment). I got a fever/body aches after the second vaccine but that was managed by taking panadol - not a major issue. My immune system obviously gave a good response. Most of my co-workers barely got any side effects.
