215561 2004-02-14 21:28:00 Hi Guys

WinME, P2 350, 6 Gig HD.

Friday, before downloading antivirus files, my PC became sluggish - very slow in everything I do. When activating a program, it takes years to load and execute, again very slow. Checked for virii, nothing. No spyware. Got a message tho' : "cannot write to C - disk failure" and a blue screen.

I believe my HD is packing up, and I can still possibly still save it, but don't HD just die - this "slow death" seems odd.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx

Sarel

215563 2004-02-15 11:07:00 If your hdd supports "SMART" (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology), try downloading a smart reporting program such as SIGuardian (www.bykeyword.com). This will give you a health report on your drive. wuppo (41)
