| 215479 | 2004-02-14 08:31:00 | Saturday, 14 February 2004 09:04:13:p.m. Am using Windows XP Home and IE 6 and Outlook Express 6. Problem - Used Windows update and it updated IE 6. Now when I click on the desktop shortcut for IE 6, IE invokes but the screen displays that it cannot find server and goes no further. However if I then close IE and use Outlook Express it dials out Ok and connects, then I invoke IE and surf as if nothing was wrong. Then log off, try IE 6 again and again it will not connect, but the Outlook Express trick works again! It must be so simple but I need some wise directions. Many thanks, Peter Mundy |
