215317 2004-02-13 22:55:00 Hi, Having a problem with CD-RW discs. I unload photo's from the Comp to CD's for storeage. On a 700 Meg disc after a couple of hundred photo's are burned, it won't take any more, saying the disc is full.
Checking the properties it will say, maybe 250 Meg loaded and the disc is full.
Have tried different makes of discs with the same result, should I not be able to keep loading into the disc until somewhere near the 700 Meg mark?
Any help appreciated...Ron..

215318 2004-02-13 22:57:00 what cd burning program are you useing and how are you useing it?

at a guess your doing a single session burn instead of useing a packet writer.

215319 2004-02-14 00:32:00 Hi, Thanks for the reply. Am using Nero6 and taking the photo's from ACDsee.
I select all the photo's and go to "Create" on the taskbar and click "Create Disc". It works perfectly to burn the first lot, but won't put any more on a RW Disc, which means I have a lot of discs with very little on them.
Any ideas?..Ron.
PS Don't know what a packet writer is...

215320 2004-02-14 00:38:00 Use Incd - part of Nero & add them by drag & drop, or whatever means that you normally use - it works like a big floppy. But - once you have them on the CD, copy to a Cdr - from experience, I don't trust Cdrw's.

215321 2004-02-14 02:25:00 It could be that you are doing a single session burn with Nero, meaning that it won't allow for any more data to be written to the disk. If you do a multiple session burn that should work ok and don't finalise the cd till you've finished putting all the stuff you want on it.

If you've still got a copy of the data, you can erase the cd-rws cd and start over again if you like.

But InCd packet writing stuff is another good way to do it.

215322 2004-02-15 02:03:00 Thanks for the help, but could you explain how to do a "multi session" I can't remember seeing anything about single or multi sessions on Nero.
Regarding Incd, I have lost it. Thinking that Nero6 would cure my problems, I unloaded 5.5 (which had Incd in) and downloaded Nero6 and now can't find Incd.
Regards Ron.

215323 2004-02-15 02:14:00 multisession is normally default (with cdr not sure about ccdrw). however incd is far better. simply download incd from neros site. if you are useing win98/me then i would suggest the older incd as i've had problems with the latest ver of incd. tweak'e (174)
215324 2004-02-15 03:02:00 Incd is in the Ahead Folder. Go windows explorer - c - program files - ahead. expand and you will see it, hopefully.

215326 2004-02-16 07:32:00 u could try erasing the disc and try again..
u might have old tracks burnt on the cd.. which can't be read from windows after u burnt another track after it..
