| 215293 | 2004-02-13 22:52:00 | Using Start/run/msconfig/boot.ini I can get into safe mode from which I can run scans etc. Using F8 on boot up only gives me the option of starting up from CD HDD or Floppy. Selecting the hdd doesn't seem to get me to Safe mode. Is it really possible to boot into Safe mode after pressing F8 and selecting the hdd?? Thanks M... |

Turns out that despite the instructions saying tap F8 the key I needed is F5. Now I can learn about Safe Mode and what it can do. Thanks to all M... |

| 215302 | 2004-02-14 22:12:00 | YES f5 does take you direct to safe mode however F8 also gives you a menu of other functions that you may wish to use, safe mode is one of the items on that menu | drcspy (146) | ||
