| 215584 | 2004-02-16 09:54:00 | ISP's let you have up to 5 alias's. Also some random sites you sign up on automatically detect the domain 'hotmail.com' as not your real address. Quite rightly too, hotmail is junk. So therefore sign up for throwaway account at lycos.com or Icqmail. Icqmail actually forwards stuff on which is quite nice. And if you just have to have your email address on a website, don't use the 'mailto:' function as bots scan pages just for that. Just display your address as joebloggs[at]xtra[dot]co.nz or any other random variations. |

Most ISP's let you have additional real mailboxes, however the number is dependent on the ISP, and the plan you are on with that ISP . Why is Xtra to ISP's like the Bombay Hills is to Auckland? This forum needs a rolled eyes emoticon . |
