| 215304 | 2004-02-14 22:43:00 | drcspy - thanks for dropping in. When I use F8 I get a small window which allows me to Select Boot Device. The options are "Removable Dev.", "Hard Drive" and "ATAPI CD-ROM". Selecting the Hard Drive causes the OS to start normally (no Safe Mode or other options). I assume selecting the cd-rom with the OS cd mounted might give others, I haven't experimented with that yet!! Any kinda info will be appreciated but don't want to take up too much of your time as am just surfing the learning curve. Thanks again M... |

| 215305 | 2004-02-14 22:51:00 | yep but when you select 'harddrive' you then shoudl immeditaely start tapping F8 and that should give you the menu items which include safe mode/last known good configuration/safe mode with network support/normal............etc etc....... you can check and reset your boot device order in teh bios screen before you get that far.........should be tap 'del' key to get in there |
