| 216032 | 2004-02-16 21:30:00 | When installed, RealPlayer v10 beta inserted a popup standard MS "dialup connection" box, on both staring and shutting down windows. It needed canceling to allow the processes to proceed. After uninstalling RealPlayer, the dialup boxes remain. They seem to me to be residuals left behind in registry. I've tried search thru registry for the obvious words. How do I find them and remove them ? | GSiv (3532) | ||

| 216034 | 2004-02-16 22:16:00 | It is really important to manually control the Real installation by, as Craig says, to uncheck virtually everything so that it is just a player and nothing else, no dial out, or downloads, or connect to anything etc. Then run anti-spyware afterwards. A good registry cleaner should get rid of Real residuals after uninstalling. You may also have to manually delete any Real folders after uninstalling. |
