I have an interest in photo manipulation. I have managed one or two small miracles myself. Is there any chance of having a squizz at the final edited version of your picture? Nice that we can help each other, isn't it?

Yup for sure: www.zu.co.nz (50KB) in a smaller version as a jpeg

216098 2004-02-19 00:17:00 Hi Laura "Now we leave much more evidence behind us than your grandmother did.. So what will the children of 2050 decide to focus on in terms of what we were like, do you think?
Lots of photos & videos about, no doubt. But will they actually KNOW any more about us than most of us would about the life & times of the lovely young woman in your photo??"
Having been here nearly 50 years and with children and grandchildren all born here, last year I thought of how they will be cut off from their history when I die. I allowed myself to be interviewed by a lady involved with the Oral Histories of the National Library. End result is a set of six by one hour sound tapes of my ramblings of early life, wartime, migration, life in NZ. We made a copy for each of the children and I'm still making a written summary with relevant photographs and birth/wedding certificates. Been an interesting exercise.

216100 2004-02-21 08:04:00 Thanks guys and girls for the compliments (yes, I think I'm blushing!) Just have to say it was fun doing it as it's always good to restore a bit of history. Made even nicer because Greg was so appreciative of the effort :) joe90ak (3042)

Can I ask what programme you used to tidy up?

Cheers
