2004-02-18 04:38:00 | Just installed Office 2003 Pro for a friend. It's great but where has the good old 'shortcut bar' gone to? ?:| ?:| Cheers

2004-02-18 07:16:00 | bk T and Godfather Thanks for the information. It looks like I won't be upgrading to Office 2003 Pro in a hurry. I love that little toolbar! They could have at least included it on the CD as an extra feature. Oxie (Lyn)

2004-02-18 08:17:00 | Its something I will never miss....its always been the first thing to eliminate after an installation for me, and the majority of other users. | godfather (25) | |
2004-02-18 08:22:00 | I havent got 2003 version but its interesting they've scrapped it. The file that starts the shortcut bar is called OSA.EXE in your office folder but Im not sure whether it needs any other associated files. I suppose you could try and copy that file from a previous installation and see if it works in 2003. Beats installing an old version of office just to use this. | parry (27) | |

You make a folder on C:\ drive and put all your favourite shortcuts in there. Then you right click on the quicklaunch bar and go add new toolbar, and select the folder you just made. Then you should see a new thing on the quicklaunch with shortcuts in it with a '>>' symbol to make u open it up and it shows all the programs. :O |
