216275 2004-02-17 10:25:00 if i have:

3 CDROM drives
2 Floppy Drives
1 harddrive
(all internal)
An 8X AGP Geforce 4
an AMD Duron 1.3ghz
a Volcano 9 for the CPU
two case fans
A modem
a capture card
a 6 Ch sound card
a USB mouse and a PS/2 Keyboard
DDR Ram

Then How many watts should my power supply be?

(no, this is not some sort of demented math problem)

Thanks.

216276 2004-02-17 10:32:00 Train A meets Train B exactly 23 kms into the trip.

Wait...

Ummm.....I think with that much stuff you'd prob be wantint at least 300W if not more, however you aren't likely to be using them all at once so most of the time they'll be sitting idle drawing next to no power.

Short of playing an AudioCD, a CD-CD copy, Floppy - Floppy copy. whilst on the net, watching TV, playing MP3's simultaneously you'll prob be sweet with what ever you have.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

lol

Just searching through the PF1 archives, I found this page (www.upgradesource.com).

By the looks of it, you need 424watts at maximum. Thats if you are pushing the thing as hard as it will go and reading 3x cdroms all at once. So a 400w PSU would be ok, but just slightly overkill.
