216237 2004-02-17 09:15:00 there is no software as such. what your anyie proberly had was call waiting on and the beeps call waiting sends knocks the modem offline. its not a feature, its more of a fault. tweak'e (174)

216241 2004-02-17 09:47:00 There are modem drivers for V.92 modems that will recognise the Call Waiting beeps and offer the option to disconnect or not. How well it works is unknown, but a search of this forum will find a thread from a couple of weeks ago on the very subject.

You have to pay for call waiting though, and you can only disconnect or ignore. No "modem on hold" unless the ISP supports it (not yet).

216242 2004-02-17 09:48:00 Ive already got call waiting... :) hsv-b0y (5210)
216243 2004-02-17 09:52:00 Well you could expand your vocabulary just a little, we don't all come here to watch you stretch the english language to it's limits when describing a PC, show a little restraint.

Have a chat to Billy T he might be able to give you some english lessons.

Some V92 modems will 1/2 function, whereby if you have call-waiting they will detect the tone and pop-up a box and you can drop the internet connection and answer the call. They will not function in TRUE V92 fashion and allow you to pick up the call, then resume internet at the end of the call - you will have to redial each time.

Your other option as previously mentioned is Internet Call Waiting - this can be done in the form of a hardware unit (not sure where you get them).
