Gets the run around by a rodent. And loves having a byte taken out of it. (I know its easy but I'm tired "yawn" night night all) |

| 216200 | 2004-02-17 21:05:00 | Hey, Bob! I remember Bob. I went to MS HQ in Redmond prior to the launch of Win95 and got to see Win95 and Bob displayed by product managers. I think even then MS had figured Bob was a bad idea though. It was kind of like, "Wow, here's Windows 95 its going to be great! You'll love it! It will transform personal computing! Oh, yeah, and this is... um... a thing we call Bob." Honestly, it was the most bizarre thing. It wasn't easy to use, for starters, because it was too limited. It was like using a kids Living Books CD as the front end for your OS. Someone must have got their ass fired over that one. |

| 216202 | 2004-02-17 21:15:00 | Sorry Chill should have made it clearer. Yes Linus had the idea but a compition was run to select a suitable candidate. I beleive TUX won unfairly as well :D. | mark.p (383) | ||

| 216204 | 2004-02-18 00:08:00 | Interesting.... I cant remember them mentioning that in the DVD we saw at the NZLug. Let's start the 'We name that penguin while Linus is not around' contest. And yeah, he does look a little like homer in some of those :p This is interesting Mark... Have any more? Chill. |
