| 216279 | 2004-02-17 11:54:00 | Hello. I couldnt continue my previous thread as i couldnt find it .... Msblast removed,so symantec tool says-but pc still restarts upon starting xp-either as soon as i chose my user-or even right up to when i start an app, it comes up with that SAME windows error with little info..... i guess il just leave it on for a month to avoid shutting it down and restarting again and again.. Chilling guy told me to run 'shutdown /a' but must i do it EVERYTIME i start? yes ive removed all bad stuff with spybot, adaware and from msconfig.. Cheers! |

Have you installed the RPC patch - even though you've removed the virus you will still be susceptible unless you're patched against it. |

| 216282 | 2004-02-17 12:40:00 | Toxicbass> You only need to run shutdown /a when you see the "Windows will shut down in 60....." alert. WTF's right though, You've cured it, but its like repairing the door to your house while leaving the Windows still open. You've fixed it, but it can still come in again! Chill. |
