| 216269 | 2004-02-17 09:49:00 | Anyone got any idea why after compiling the 2.6.1 Kernel for Mandrake 9.2, the DVD writer & CD Rom are reported as being removed. I can't find anything in menuconfig related to CD & DVD that's not selected. Otherwise the kernel works ok. Phil |

| 216274 | 2004-02-17 10:32:00 | You'll need that first then, otherwise you're going to have to use the Sysfs (Im pretty sure thats what its called). See /sys ;-) You'll need to enabled mounting of devfs at boot too, but they're right next to each other IIRC. Chill. |
