| 216666 | 2004-02-19 11:11:00 | If you put 247 downloads into Google, you'll find a Rip-off Report entry you may wish to consider. No, I haven't tried it, but all info helps, presumably...? |

| 216669 | 2004-02-19 13:37:00 | Join the "legal" P2P Revolution How is this any more or less legal than the likes of WinMX, Gnutella, eMule etc? Reading: www.247downloads.com I see: 9. 24/7 Downloads reserves the right to run advertisements and promotions on the 24/7Downloads.com web site and on the Software. By accepting the terms of this License, the User agrees that 24/7 Downloads has the right to run such advertisements and promotions without compensation to the User. Their Privacy Policy seems to say they'll only collect info if you're over 13: www.247downloads.com It says: COPPA 24/7 Downloads will never knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 13. If 24/7 Downloads obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our database. Because it does not collect such information, 24/7 Downloads has no such information to use or to disclose to third parties. 24/7 Downloads has designed this policy in order to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). Sounds like possible Spyware.... ;-) Chill. |
