| 216693 | 2004-02-19 14:12:00 | I have an ASUS (CRW-4816A) 48x / 16x / 48x CD-RW Drive. Everything about it appears to be fine except that it doesn't seem to be able to recognise the CDs that it creates itself. I can burn a CD, take it out of the drive, put it back and the system tells me I have a blank disk in the drive. If I put that disk into another computer it reads it fine. What can the problem be? This machine is running WinXP. The machine that can read the disk is running Win98se if that should make any difference. Can anybody make any suggestions of what I may be able to do please. |

| 216695 | 2004-02-20 05:51:00 | Thanks for your reply Megaman. That's what happens if I do use the XP inbuilt software. I have Ahead Nero as well but it seems to be the same. Microsoft offers a supposed fix but it's not exactly the same problem. Their fix is for when Win98 etc can't read the CD but XP can. |
