216570 2004-02-19 04:37:00 Do I "HAVE" to activate Office 2003?

What if I don't activate it?

216571 2004-02-19 05:11:00 You have 50 grace launches before you must activate an Office 2003 Editions product. If you do not activate within 50 launches, the product will go into reduced-functionality mode. At this point, you will not be able to edit documents or create new ones. Existing documents can still be viewed and printed, because the actual files remain unchanged.

www.microsoft.com/office/editions/ prodinfo/activation.mspx -for full details.

216572 2004-02-19 08:24:00 I understand that there is another version which doesn't need activation . Apparently, it is not available in New Zealand . I can remember quite vaguely that it is only available in a few countries . Is it true?

I don't really understand why Microsoft is doing it this way . ?:|

216574 2004-02-19 21:59:00 It is called multiple licenses in which companies pay a license fee and they get a code. They type in the code as you normally do but the software does not require activation. This is because they usually have so many to do it would be a hassle to activate each copy. Big John (551)
