| 217236 | 2004-02-21 21:55:00 | I notice in using Partition Magic it shows on each of my 2 hard drives a extended Partition both primary one being 31659.3 mb and the other 2000.0mb On first drive 40 mb drive only 15mb unused and second only 1.998mb not used . I have been unable to eliminate these 2 extended primary partitions so can anyone help please | norrol (2154) | ||
| 217237 | 2004-02-22 07:14:00 | I have read your post several times and am not finding it clear. You can have up to 4 primary partitions on a drive. If you need more partitions, you make one of the 4 an extended partition. This partition is really only just a "placeholder" and can hold no data itself. Inside the extended partition you create logical partitions. If you want to delete an extended partition, delete any logical partitions inside it first. |
