217146 2004-02-21 09:14:00 Hi there,

Does anyone remember the process when signing with Paradise using a CD? A friend of mine at work used the CD that contained all the info needed to surf the net using Paradise. But the info that came with the CD advised her to fill out a form (supplied) and send it to Paradise. Paradise would then, in turn, send her another CD which she must run on her PC before she is fully signed up to the package she had selected. She sent the card in over a week ago and hasn't received anything from them yet. The information that came with the first (only) CD stated that if she goes online before running the second CD to be supplied by Paradise then she will be charged so many dollars per hour rather than the 'all one can eat' for a set amount each month (dail-up connection).

I've never used Paradise so I don't know what the process involves when using a CD. Has anyone experienced this? By the sounds of it, it seems much simpler signing up with xtra. She hasn't yet called Paradise up to inquiry ... I don't know why.

Thanks

217148 2004-02-21 10:26:00 I won't say anything about the suggestion of signing up with Xtra *mumble mumble*

Setting up manually is no problem, or calling the helpdesk they will assist you through setting up Mail and Dial-Up - it is very very straightforward.

I signed with Paradise ~2 years ago and never had a CD or anything like that (mind you I could set it up myself)

217149 2004-02-21 12:28:00 Ring the support desk, thats where the action is. They connect you up over the phone with credit card and no waiting for 2weeks for sending mail back and forth. PoWa (203)

217152 2004-03-09 11:01:00 Just thought I'd let those who helped know what finally happened with my friends connection.

I took the advise of manually configuring the connection. As I was told, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Well anyway she's up and running and is one very happy lass. Thanks to those who helped.
