Exactly WTF, Anyone who has to ask hasn't EVER done a re-install in a rural area with a sloooooowww connection, or they would be getting two copies. However, 6 months of updates is still a lot of time, does any one know a "simple" method of getting all the downloads into storage ? Everything I've tried seems a bit erratic. R2 |

Thanks, I'll go try it while I have Woosh to speed things along, so that next time out in the countryside will be just about visiting, not continually trying to resume slow downloads. Thanks again R2 |

| 217014 | 2004-02-23 23:57:00 | When Windows XP Sp2 is out, that'll save a lot of time for MANY people. Does anybody know when the planned release is? Im on the Beta team, but there's not much point me downloading it without a PC to use it on :p Chill. |

| 217016 | 2004-03-18 05:25:00 | I just ran the cd on an unpatched xp pc, restarted the machine and then was quite surprised when a visit to the update site says there are about 14mbs of driver and critical updates available. I am fairly sure there haven't been 14mbs of updates since October which I think was when the cd was supposed to be current. But still, it will be a handy peice in the tool kit. It does take a while, roughly an hour and had to do SP1 first as stand alone. It seemed quite happy to be left alone to do its thing in two sessions. | gerrypics (323) | ||

| 217018 | 2004-03-18 07:47:00 | Got mine today, and wasn't sure about loading the Sp1 I think it was. I haven't added anything since I bought the puter last week, update wise, but aren't sure of the ones that have caused people hassles and the ones that are safe. Any info sure appreciated. ?:| | supergran (108) | ||
